Last Fridays' Murder Mystery Dinner

Hollywood party puzzle

The second in a series of Murder Mystery dinners took place at Hotel Garbe last week.

The scenario was a glittering party held at Silver Screen City where world-renowned film director, Samuel O’Snuffit, was shot. Following the dramatic murder, all of the party guests are possible suspects. Several participants at Hotel Garbe were clever enough to be able to unravel the intriguing plot and identify the culprit.

There is another opportunity to take part in this Silver Screen Murder Mystery when it is repeated on Thursday February 13th. Participants cross-question each other during dinner; a three-course Indian meal served with wine and coffee.

Trying to detect the murderer is a complex process since it turns out the film director had many enemies and all of them were at the party. The various roles are allocated in advance so that people can dress up accordingly. Three of the more illustrious characters are the actress Losta Morales, the starlet Fanny Chez Longe and the matinee idol, Clark Crumpet. Prizes are awarded for costumes and staying in role throughout the evening.

Large groups of friends, as well as people who don’t know each other, come together determined to solve the mystery. A great deal of amusement is generated and funds are raised for the registered animal charity APPA. Donations from the ticket price of 29 euros are used to benefit unwanted animals in the Algarve.
