Travel Agents visit the Hotel Garbe

We were very pleased to receive this group of Thomas Cook Travel Agents for a visit to our Hotel this morning.

Our receptionist Claudia showed them round the Hotel – she was delighted to answer all their questions.

These “educational” visits are very important to us, as they enable Travel Agents to collect information about the Hotel and the surrounding area, which they can in turn pass on to our future guests.

Review "Perfect"

bolton
Sep 22, 2009

We have just returned from a long weekend at the Garbe and i must say it's one of the nicest hotels that i have stayed in for location and service. The room was very spacious having two seperate bedrooms and our patio opened out to the most fabulous view of the beach with steps down to the pool.

At breakfast there was a large variety of food and of very good standard. We didn't eat at the hotel in the evening as there were plenty of restaurants to choose from with cheap prices. It was a little quiet for us at night but i think it must be coming to the end of season? We got a taxi into Albufeira one night which was only €15 there is a lot more nightlife there but I wouldn't like to stay there as we liked the more traditional resort of ADP. we will definatley be returning next year for a long relaxing weekend with great service, location and relaxation.

Workshop - How to quadruple your turnover and profit

Wednesday, 22nd October – 9.30am – 12.30pm

Is quadrupling your turnover and profits really possible when the economic climate is tough?

Yes absolutely.

But lets start thinking about something a bit more modest. How about improving your figures by just 10% next month. It might not be easy but most of us can envisage that.

Well, what if you did that every month? In just 16 months your monthly turnover will have more than quadrupled.

This isn’t a distant dream; lots of people do it every year.

Meet Marketing Magician, Stefan Drew, who will explain the three ways to grow a business, how your marketing can be improved by measurable amounts every month and how this has led him to increase his business turnover and profits, and get his best business growth ever, during the depths of a recession.

Review - "Great for relaxing beach holiday"

We stayed here for a relaxing beach holiday and that is what we got. The hotel is very comfortable and clean and has tea making facilities in the room.

It is right on the beach which is beautiful and it is easy to rent a sunbed. It has a lovely pool overlooking the beach. My only grip as usual with these types of holidays is the race for a sunbed. The usual putting the towel down at the crack of dawn was commonplace for most. There is a sign informing people that this will not be tolerated, but it was not enforced. This put me off being by the pool, so we opted for the beach which was only a few steps away.

There is also a fabulous little beach cafe called The Palm Beach Cafe which serves fabulous snacks and lunches at reasonable prices. The service is excellent there.

Breakfast is served in the main restaurant which has a terrace overlooking the beach which is lovely. Good choice of food. There is also a very nice bar which is lovely and cool to sit in, also overlooking the beach but it is very expensive compared to drinks outside of the hotel.

The town is lovely to walk around in the evenings but is very busy. There are some nice restaurants to eat at in the evening.

The staff are personable and efficient and it is a generally all round nice place to stay.
